Top Reasons dredg is awesome

Dredg is awesome. They are my favorite band. And in honor of their tour with Circa Survive, Codeseven and Animals As Leaders, here are the top reasons that is true.

1. Penguins In The Desert

   First dredg song I heard? This one. The entire "Leitmotif" album blew me away. And then they changed their sound.

2. Of The Room

   Who doesn't love a penguin? Second song I heard? An early demo of Of The Room. Plus, this video had the first appearance of Walter.

3. Same Ol Road

   Name another band that has a video directed by American McGee. If you don't know who American McGee is, look him up. But he helped make some rad video games. Plus Walter's back.

4. Bug Eyes

   The only dredg song that really had any mainstream success. It's a really awesome showcase of just about everything that makes the band great.

5. Information

   Who else can write such a beautiful song about a suicide bomber?

6. I Don't Know

   Awesome song about one of those feelings we all get from time to time. Plus the video was shot by the awesome Scott O'Hara (@scottohara).

7. Whoa Is Me

   Rarely played live, and oh so amazing. Especially in this video shot by the great Zach Boes (@zachblows), which includes the live sax intro.

8. Quotes

   I just absolutely love every single moment of this song. And the last 3 minutes of it may be my favorite dredg moments...

9. The Canyon Behind Her

   .... if not for this song. One of the greatest songs EVER. Another great recording by Zach and gang.
